It really bugs me to see how badly they’re being affected by this. It seems so goddamned stressful.

and people always tell me ‘it never hurts anyone, it’s all for fun! no one ever gets hurt’ which is a load of bullcrap.

This is a good lesson for any fandom, really. You have to remember that most of these people can be affected by it. Maybe less so if it’s a fictional character, but obsessing over one thing too much really is unhealthy
