I love you, Disney. But srsly.

THHHIIIIIIISSSSS!!!!!

AND WHY DOES ELSA HAVE POWERS??
Its never explained. WHY WHY WHY???

Y’know, my theory is that Elsa inherited her powers.

Like, you know when Anna got hit by the ice the first time and the king and queen rushed off with them to find the trolls? Everyone saw that trail of ice/frost stuff that followed one of the horses, right? Well, at that point, the first thing I thought of was that the king was doing that, (he was on the horse whose trail was being frozen) because I didn’t think Elsa would be that powerful to make a perfectly even trail all the way there in the early years of her childhood.

And they were never surprised that Elsa had ice powers, and the king knew exactly what to do to help Elsa conceal them. Even that headcanon where the shackles she wore when she was brought back to the town –the ones that completely covered her hands– were ready for use because her parents knew someday they might have to deal with her powers: I think the shackles might have been older than that. Maybe they were made for a cautious measure for her father, the king? Or even before that? What if those ice powers are passed down each generation?
