Man, when I was like 16 I got so sick of being made fun of for being the fat kid that I took an axe down inna woods, chopped down a tree, and started doing log-lifts all the time. I got strong as fuck, but I didn’t lose no weight. I actually got bigger.
Same thing happened when I got into fighting. I got even stronger, and I got *fast*, man, and nimble, like a cat. Still chubby.
Body-building culture is a bunch of crap, my dude. Functional muscle is not necessarily toned or lean. You can be swole as hell and still be heavy. And that’s cool.

You know, I train with (martial arts) a bunch of dudes, and a few bodybuilders have showed up over the years.
And every damn one of those huge shredded motherfuckers has the endurance of a fucking newborn puppy. Fifteen minutes into warmups and they’re panting for air like like they’re about to die. I’ve sparred them and every one of them telegraphs their moves about two weeks in advance, and are slower than my dead grandpa because their huge useless muscles get in the damn way.
Now. I also work with a couple of guys who are not weightlifters. They do, however, do very physical jobs and are Big Dudes. Picture this sort of build.
No abs to speak of, a bit of a tummy, and those motherfuckers can pick up one of the weightlifters and throw them.
And they’re fast. Like, unfair fast.
Bodybuilding culture is bullshit. Embrace your status as a giant barbarian and if anyone gives you crap throw them off a mountain.

i rock climb a bunch. like, obsessively a bunch but that’s beside the point.
when i first started i was good, mostly because i was like 100 pounds and didn’t have a lot of weight to carry up the wall anyway. that’s sort of what climbing is about, how strong you are vs how much you weigh. i could lift a blanket and get tired because i was a fuckin stick, but that was what gave me an advantage when i climbed because i didn’t have to put in as much work to lift myself. my only drawback was that i wasn’t strong. that came in time, of course. after obsessively climbing for over a year now, im strong AND tiny, which is cool, but not the point im trying to make
my point is that one night, in comes someone who will soon become a good friend of mine. he must be pushing 200 pounds, maybe more. which, for my newborn baby naïve child mind, meant he’d be too heavy to do anything useful up on a wall. i thought that the only advantage you could have in climbing was a lack of weight, and this dude had a surplus. i didn’t know his skill level and wasn’t expecting much despite him having all his own gear and looking like he knew what he was doing, but damn was i wrong. i wish yall could see him climb. he’s like a fucking ballerina because even though he has more weight to carry, the amount of strength he’s got that goes with it is more than enough to let him hang from his fingertips for minutes on end, or just fucking LAUNCH himself five feet upwards. dude’s a machine. but the thing is? he doesn’t look strong. he’s got a belly, he’s got a thick neck, his thighs touch. in fact, the dudes that DO come in to my gym looking like bodybuilders can’t do anything. they’re sweating and gasping by the time they get ten feet in the air, no exaggeration.
if ive learned anything from climbing it’s that every body type has its own advantages and disadvantages. im little and my lack of weight sacrifices some strength. my friend is heavy so he works a little harder endurance-wise, but he can power through stuff id never dream of doing. at the end of the day, your body is your body and it’s working very hard to keep you happy and safe. you just have to find out the advantages it gives you, not fight the disadvantages

so i went to this counselor therapy session thing and im actually sorta kinda really happy because now at least people are starting to realize “hey maybe there’s something actually wrong with her” and im actually maybe going to get some help with this

i’ve heard optifine rEALLY helps. and if you can’t use that/ its still having problems, try uninstalling other modpacks to help free up some space.
I had trouble setting up modular powersuits, and realized when you go to get the file, you should probably also add the one under it (numina or something like that). it’ll help make the mod more stable.
