No, wait you don’t understand.

That cat became an icon THIS MONTH AND IS STILL ONE.

that’s Jo-Pawveski, a stray who wandered onto the ice and past the nashville predators bench during round 2 of playoffs. They eventually picked her up and sent her to the humane society.

Here she is.

image

The SAN JOSE SHARKS won that game and attributed it to her, naming her after the Sharks captain: Joe Pavelski. When they found out she was a girl, they changed her name to Jo instead of Joe.

She became an instant good luck charm after that as the Sharks won every game at home that series and moved onto round three.

image

Since then, every game, they stack pucks and stick a idol to Jo for luck.

image

This little cat has had merchendise made out of her. She’s literally almost replaced SJ sharkie as maschot of the team.

I mean. I’m not making this up. I HAVE A RALLY TOWEL OF HER THEY GAVE OUT FOR GAME 1 OF THE 3RD ROUND. I OWN THIS FUCKING THING:

image

FURRIES HAVE BEEN SHOWING UP DRESS AS HER.

image

She had her own livestream to check in on her.

image

SHE’S IN THE PREGAME OPENING ANIMATION

And so I know what you’re gonna say here.

Well… what happened to Jo, though.

Good news, This week, as Sharks made their first Stanley Cup, Jo and another Kitty were adopted.

And that kids, is the story of JO PAWVELSKI.

The stray black cat of the San Jose Sharks.

I’m beaming with shark pride and I ain’t even that big into hockey

If you are in the UK and you are eligible to vote in the EU referendum YOU HAVE TO REGISTER AND TURN UP TO VOTE

This referendum is so close that it will come down to voters turnout. Young people are the ones that are are more likely to want to stay in so if you want to stay in but then don’t vote, statistically we will end up leaving.

This is the most important referendum in Britain’s history for decades please vote if you’re eligible, this will affect our whole futures so vote or deal with the consequences of not voting and letting older generations decide our future

(Even if you’re not from Britain would you please signal boost for your British followers?)

Reminder that June 7th is the deadline for registering to vote for the EU referendum!

You can do it online! In like 5mins! Please vote!

When Grog runs, it’s because he’s chasing something. It’s because Vox Machina has found new prey and he’s on the hunt. He’s got to get there first, finish things before they start.

When Keyleth runs, it’s because she has somewhere to be. She knows where she is needed, what she needs to do. She can’t fail, not when she’s running with Vox Machina.

Pike runs because people are in trouble, because she can do something about it. Be it through violence or healing, Pike running can be the difference between life and death.

Percy doesn’t particularly run, he’s usually on the outskirts. If he’s running, he’s looking for a better angle. Work smarter, not harder.

Vex runs for a couple of different reasons. Sometimes she runs for fun, because she can, without shoes and with Trinket. Other times she runs because Vax is in trouble. Again.

Vax runs as a rule, has to. He’s got to get and and get out in a matter of seconds, as he’s squishy as hell and really isn’t good at sticking around. He runs because his fingers are sticky, he runs to protect his sister.

Scanlan usually just runs his mouth.

If you believe the editing of the Swedish dub in Steven universe is caused by the “influence of the refugees” the I want you to unfollow my blog. People have their prejudice so far up their white asses they’re ready to blame victims of war for something as unrelated as a cartoon dub.

I don’t know which idea upsets me more: that there isn’t a secret stash of ancient Greek and Roman pornographic fanfiction or that there IS and the archaeological community has been keeping it hidden all this time

i made this post two years ago and was just reminded of it from someone reblogging it randomly

it’s still as applicable as ever tbh

There are literally surviving accounts of Plato getting into heated arguments about whether Achilles topped or bottomed in his relationship with Patroclus. Like, there were public callings-out and everything:

“Very different was the reward of the true love of Achilles
towards his lover Patroclus – his lover and
not his love (the notion that Patroclus was the beloved one is a
foolish error into which Aeschylus has fallen, for Achilles was surely
the fairer of the two, fairer also than all the other heroes; and, as
Homer informs us, he was still beardless, and younger far).”

Benjamin Jowett)
