Is there a word/thing for whenever you try to complain about someone or try to help them by telling them something they don’t like, they imply you’re crazy and tell you you’re ungrateful? Is that a type of emotional abuse? I need an outside perspective on this so I know I’m not making a big deal out of nothing

That kinda sounds like gaslighting? Like misleading you or invalidating your point by trying to make you sound dumb/crazy? idk I don’t know much about it but I suggest starting there for answers, but if it is that then yes, that’s a form of emotional abuse

Further tales from my brother’s DnD adventures: one of his friends had a character that was two gnomes in a trench coat. Even the DM didn’t know (despite the player’s comment that his character had abnormally short arms, and his penchant for asking WHERE enemies had landed a hit) until one of them died.

i’ve heard a lot of stories about writers that i love but i think my favorite one is that the dragon age writers called the game world “thedas” because it was originally short for “the dragon age setting” and then they just didn’t change it
