Here’s a thought: If you support ace/aro people, but only if they have a matching orientation you think is valid, and aren’t like het or anything, you don’t actually support ace/aro people. You support your own groups and you don’t give a shit about ace/aro people and their specific experiences. If you only take it seriously when attached to a group you find valid, that’s not fucking support, okay? That’s just as much of a slap in the face to any lgbt ace/aro people, cause what you’re saying is that their experiences don’t matter unless tacked on to the end of your specific group.
