My mom just told me that because I’m a boy, I can’t wear dresses.
Like, sometimes I just wanna dress up all fancy in a dress and be a bomb-smashin booty-rockin drop dead diva, okay?
She wants me to get rid of my dresses because I’m a boy, but I wanna prove a point to her.

But if everyone can wear pants…why cant everyone wear dresses?

Everyone can wear whatever the heck they want (within reason, which I measure broadly as “will not hurt you or anyone else”), it shouldn’t be anyone else’s business to dictate my wardrobe or that of anyone.

Also I am super disappointed by the notion of restricting fashion by body type or sex or anything else, especially when we constantly as a civilisation dream up worlds where lavish and individual styles abound. Fashion today is way too homogenous.
