Why would we put up a flag in a classroom? Are people afraid the children would forget which country they are in?

My favorite thing about the multicultural nature of Tumblr is watching people from other countries learn that America is much, much worse than they ever dreamed.

Do they still do the pledge of allegiance?

It does look a little strange, but most countries aren’t nearly as diverse or full of first generation immigrants or their children as America is. Even with America’s modern immigration rules being tightened, it’s still an incredibly diverse and permissive country to enter. Reminding people they’re American citizens can be of value.
