People are always asking me ‘How do you draw feet??’
My answer is usually ‘I don’t know I just sort of draw them??’
But ‘I don’t know’ as we’re all (painfully) aware isn’t an answer. So. Here’s me attempting to explain ‘how do I foot.’

If I’m drawing the foot in a position that’s a little awkward, I invariably pose my foot then look at it in a mirror. This always helps.

The first thing you need to know is that the foot is essentially made up of three shapes, all of which are shaped a little like wedges, There’s a wide, flat wedge for the toes, a long fat wedge for the middle (where the arch is) and a tall thick wedge for the heel.
Oh, and then you have those there ankle knobs. I’m not sure what those are called.
I draw the toe wedge, then the heel wedge, then the arch. This tends to work out best.
Once I have that down, I add toes. With those in place (hint: The big toe should probably be an oval while the smaller toes are more like spheres) I can then start making the result more ‘footlike’. I put in the arch, round out the heel, etc. Don’t forget the connecting tendons between the big toe and the arch.
The ‘three wedges’ method works for feet from any angle.
GOOD LUCK! And if you have any other questions, feel free to send them to me! Hope this helps!
