now i’m just imagining kirin doing that thing deer do where they shake their head, and then jump like a foot in the air when their antlers go flying off because they weren’t expecting it at all – like he completely falls over, and the antlers probably smash something important, and lying absolutely dies laughing at the look of utter shock on his face

it’s probably very useful, though, being able to go through doors without ducking again, not getting tangled in low-hanging tree branches, not having to wrestle with any clothing or robes that involves going over your head. very freeing.

(and then of course they grow back all over again, and there’s a period of kirin just rubbing his head against everything, constantly, and su makes mildly annoyed noises at him because he’s digging gouges in the wood walls and knocking things off shelves, and kirin’s just like, “but it itches”)
